Green Tea White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Green Tea White Chocolate Chip. Cookies are great, green tea is great, and white chocolate is the icing on the cake. This cookie is just amazing and definitely worth trying out!

Ingredients: Makes 16-18 cookies
  • 1 1/8 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp matcha powder (you can add more to your taste palate)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup pakced brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 oz white chocolate (you can add more or less to your taste palate)

As usual, I halved the recipe because I can't stand the temptation of so many cookies ;_;

Flour + Matcha

After adding the wet ingredients + sugar

Added the chocolate chips and rolled them into balls. It wasn't like cookie dough you buy in stores so we ended up using a spoon to smooth it out and make it more circular.

These cookies are soooo good and when I gave some to friends, they agreed too. It's really easy to make, especially if you're making them with someone. If you guys try it out, let me know! One more week until my birthday :O

Recipe from Hilarymakes:

Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking soda and salt
In another larger bowl, mix together the butter with both sugars, until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and eggs. Beat until well mixed.
Add the flour mixture and mix until just combined.
Fold in the white chocolate chunks.
Drop heaping tablespoons of the dough on a non-stick baking sheet, or a pan lined with parchment paper. Bake until cookies are golden around the edges, but still soft in the center.
